Solubility(20): 72.2g/100ml in water,slight methanol soluble in ethanal ,insoluble in most organic solvents.Dense solution is stable,but unstable when diluted,It is readily to decompose under soil,acid and heavy metal salt condition.Water solution is corrosive to brass,copper and zinc.

Metham-sodium is a new type round disinfector which have suffocating efficacy, It is used to kill the hazard increasingly rampancy nematode in soil, including the rot nematodestalk nematode of tomatobeansgourd etc vegetables and other crops, also kill many fungal disease which is spreaded by soil  such as verticillium wilt,root rot and weed seed in soil.
